Helping Peace Corps Evacuees

On March 15, 2020 news spread that all Peace Corps Volunteers were being evacuated and returning home to the United States. The service of each Peace Corps Volunteer was abruptly interrupted, while incoming volunteers preparing for assignments faced uncertainty about their future plans. COVID-19 impacted everyone – wherever they were. As evacuation plans were launched, the best of the United States’ humanitarian volunteers were brought home to an uncertain future.
