Dear fellow Partnering for Peace members,
We at Partnering for Peace are happy to have Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) back in the field; it is just one more way we can work together between the Peace Corps community and Rotary International. PCVs will be deployed to 50 countries in 2022.
Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Rotary-Peace Corps Week 2022 (RPCW22) and the event is only 3 weeks away, September 19-23, 2022. During this heightened time of unrest, we chose the theme “Peace Building on the Ground” in conjunction with the United Nations International Peace Day on Wednesday, September 21.
Below you’ll find all of the details of this year’s event including:
-
Event overview and registration information
- Sample newsletter articles for your Rotary or Peace Corps newsletter
- Social media posts for your personal or Rotary/Peace Corps feeds
- Email templates for sharing the event with your network
If you’re looking for an easy way to spread the word about the partnership, please consider asking your local Rotary or Peace Corps community to share this 5 minute video. Carol Spahn, Peace Corps Director, briefly describes Peace Corps, and Carol and John Hewko, CEO and General Secretary of Rotary International describe the benefits of this partnership. Returned and currently serving PCVs and staff are encouraged to connect with a Rotary/Rotaract club local to them, while Rotary members are encouraged to reach out to the Peace Corps office or RPCV group near you.
Finally, if you're not already, please follow PFP's social media accounts for updates and online discussions about peace:
Thank you for your support of the best of Peace Corps and Rotary- in the US and worldwide- as we continue to build on the firm foundation of our partnership.
We look forward to seeing you on at least one of the webinars coming up during Rotary-Peace Corps week or on PFP's social media where you can share your thoughts on peace.
In Peace,
Kim Dixon
President, Partnering for Peace
