Partnering for Peace Selected as NPCA Ruppe Award Finalist
By Kim Dixon, PFP President
Partnering for Peace has been selected as a finalist for the NPCA Ruppe Award, along with two NPCA fellow Affiliate Groups: RPCV Alliance for Ukraine, and Friends of Moldova.
“We are honored and humbled to be included in a group of dedicated, passionate RPCVs from all over that are committed to serving those in crisis in Ukraine and Ukrainian refugees,” states Kim Dixon, President of Partnering for Peace. “By connecting the RPCV Affiliate Groups with committed Rotary communities in the US, Ukraine, and Moldova, we hope that our contributions will minimize some degree of suffering.” Dixon also added a thank you to Friends of Afghanistan for nominating the trio.
The annual Loret Miller Ruppe Award, named after the widely admired 10th Director of the Peace Corps, is presented by NPCA to outstanding affiliate groups for projects that promote the Third Goal of Peace Corps — “strengthen Americans’ understanding about the world and its peoples” — or continue to serve host countries, build group spirit and cooperation, and promote service.
The three Groups will present together at the Annual Affiliate Group National Annual Meeting (AGNAM) on Saturday, August 27th. And The Affiliate Groups in attendance will select the winner.
